Do portfolio sites generate business?

I'm not sure. Yet. But since starting this company at the beginning of September, I've been meaning to join a few and see if they lead to any prospective jobs. Actually, it seems I've been meaning to do a lot of things, but that's a whole other can of worms. What I want to get done in a day and what I actually end up getting done in a day are very different things.
The three sites I joined are Coroflot, Creative Binge, and Voodoochilli. I figure it sure can't hurt. I'll definitely update if I get any leads through these sites, and if anyone knows of any others or has a story about online portfolio sites in general, please feel free to share.
Thanks for the links, those are great. There is http://www.professionalontheweb.com/ site. I have joined that one several months ago, but haven’t had any leads yet (maybe someday).
