Wow. Have I been blog negligent or what?? On one hand, it means I've been so busy with work that I have had no time to even think about my website, but on the other hand, it is in some serious need of TLC and makes me appear like a stereotypical scatterbrained designer, which I'm not. I actually think I'm a lot more organized than most!

So what have I been up to? Well, not only have I been very busy with my design business, but my Etsy shop, Obleek Bouteek, really took off and until recently, it ate up pretty much all of my spare time. This was running me a little ragged to say the least, so my mom (and business partner) and I dialed that business down a bit until we can implement a more sustainable business plan.

In the meantime I have been focusing on my design work and photography. Photography is something I have always loved, as it very much goes hand in hand with design. I've always dabbled, but it was pretty much just a hobby and I never got serious and confident enough about my work until recently. I've been taking courses at MacEwan in that nonexistent spare time of mine, and people have been steadily approaching me to book me and actually pay me to do this hobby that I love. I've now got 3 weddings under my belt, many family/couple sessions, and maternity and baby sessions as well. I definitely specialize in portraits, but I often do photography for the businesses I design for and one of the changes I plan on making on this website in the near future is integration with my yet-to-be-launched photography website.











You will definitely seem some changes around here over the next little bit. Not big design changes, as I am happy with the overall look and feel, but definitely some usability changes and more regular updates from me. I also have a TON of projects to add to the portfolio that I can't wait to show you.

I have a very strong feeling that 2011 is going to be the best year yet!
